01What it is
Categories and groups are a two-level classification: a category contains groups. Each area of the application has its own tree, for example you split projects into shell and core, finishes and installations.
The areas include: projects and quotes, the materials catalogue, the service catalogue, stock and consumables, tools and equipment, suppliers, and payments and liabilities.
Categories and groups are not deleted, only disabled. Historical records keep the category name, and forms let you pick active ones only.
