01What it is
The fire-stopping register collects markers of two kinds: Fire-stop penetration and Seal. You do not create them here. Every penetration is created on the building’s floor plan as a marker placed where it really is. The other markers, measurement, defect and general, stay on the floor plan.
A fire-stopping marker moves through the states Draft, Done, Needs rework and Approved. Done requires the full set: seal number, fire rating, manufacturer, material, service type and two photos, the completed installation and the label. Changing an approved marker sends it back to draft.
- THE WHOLE SITE
- All floor plans and objects in one table.
- COMPLETE EVIDENCE
- Installation details and two photos before submitting.
- IN WRITING
- CSV export with number, system and status.
02What it is for
A list for the inspector
Number, fire rating, system and location of every penetration in one file.
Review progress in numbers
Tiles show how many penetrations are approved, done, need rework and are in draft.
Nothing without evidence
A penetration cannot be marked as done without installation details and photos.
Material at the penetration
Mastic, collar or wrap issued at the marker leaves stock and goes into the project cost.
03Main options
The register is a list of penetrations, and the marker record has tabs: Overview, Materials and Photos. All four are described below.
Every penetration on the site
Status tiles with their percentage share and a table with filters.
- Site filter, then floor plan, and a status filter
- Search by name, number, system and location
- Seal number, fire rating, system, building and installer
- CSV export of the whole list

Installation details and review
What the inspector asks about a single penetration.
- Seal number, fire rating, manufacturer and material
- Service type and dimensions
- Installer, review date and the person who reviewed it
- A note on what to fix when the penetration was returned for rework

What was used at the penetration
Each line is an issue from the site base store to a project.
- Material from the catalogue, quantity and size, e.g. 110 mm
- The project the material is issued to
- Return material: the line goes back to the store and the project cost decreases

Evidence from the installer’s phone
The installer adds photos on the phone, at the marker.
- Completed installation and Label / seal ID: required to submit
- Before / opening, the photo taken before covering
- The date each photo was added
