01What it is
An enquiry is the first contact with a customer, before you prepare a quote. You record the contact person or company, phone, e-mail, a description of the object and the scope, the source, an approximate value and the best date.
The status takes an enquiry from New through Contacted, Inspection and Quote to Won or Lost. For a lost enquiry you record the reason, so you know why jobs pass you by.
You can link a customer on file straight away or later. An enquiry stays an enquiry until a quote is created; one enquiry has one quote.
- BEFORE THE QUOTE
- Contact, description and source recorded from the first phone call.
- PIPELINE VALUE
- The sum of the approximate values of open enquiries on a tile.
- ONE CLICK
- Create quote carries over the customer, the description and the note.
02What it is for
Nothing gets lost
An enquiry from a phone call or a property manager goes on the list, not into a notebook.
You know what works
A source for every enquiry: referral, tender, general contractor and others.
Inspections in the plan
The Inspection status shows where someone has to go before the quote.
How much is in play
The Open pipeline value tile adds up the approximate values.
