01What it is
New site is a shortcut in the Modules menu, shown to people who can edit sites. It opens the same form as the New site button on the site list.
A site is the top level of work: objects, projects, people and costs sit on it. The name and the base and store are required; equipment leaves from the base and material is issued from its store.
For a small job, Small site on the site list is quicker: one name and one save create a site, an object and a project, each of which you can rename separately later.
- FROM ANYWHERE
- A shortcut in the Modules menu.
- STARTING STATUS
- Planned, unless you choose another.
- CHECK-IN ZONE
- A radius from 20 to 5000 m, 150 m by default.
02What it is for
No list hunting
You create the site wherever you are.
Attendance on site
The address, coordinates and radius define the zone where staff check in.
Budget from the start
People with finance access enter the budget when creating the site.
Consistent dates
The deadline cannot precede the start, so overdue counters can be trusted.
03Main options
The quick action opens the same form as New site on the site list.
Name, customer, base, address and deadline
The name and the base and store are required. The site code cannot repeat within the company.
